Telegram Receiver

By connecting Telegram as a signal receiver, you can use it in your connections to receive trading signals from TradingView or Telegram and automatically forward them to your Telegram groups, channels, or private chats. This provides a simple and reliable way to distribute trading signals to your Telegram communities.


How to connect a Telegram chat, group, or channel as a signal receiver

  • Select Signal Receivers from the navigation bar.
  • Click the Connect Receiver button under the Telegram section.
  • Follow the step-by-step instructions to complete the connection process.

How to use a Telegram receiver

Once your Telegram receiver is connected, you can select it as a signal receiver in your connections.

  • Go to Connect Hub.
  • Click the Manage button for your connection.
  • Click Manage Signal Receivers and select your Telegram receiver.

If you want to receive messages in a private group or channel, make sure you added this bot and granted the necessary permissions.

In this section, you will see:

  • The Chat ID of the private chat, group, or channel where trading signals will be delivered.
  • The Signature that will be appended to the end of all delivered messages.

You can:

  • Update the Chat ID and Signature by clicking the Update button.
  • Check the status of your Telegram receiver by clicking the Check Receiver button. A status message will be displayed.

This bot must be added to your Telegram group or channel and granted the required permissions so it can deliver messages on your behalf.


How to get a Telegram Chat ID

Get the Chat ID of a private Telegram chat

  1. Click the bot link: @SignalCopierAppBot
  2. Click Start to begin a private chat with the bot.
  3. Type /chatid to retrieve the Chat ID.

You will receive a Chat ID similar to: 20122345678. Copy this value for use during receiver setup.


Get the Chat ID of a Telegram group

  1. Open your Telegram group.
  2. Click Add Members.
  3. Search for @SignalCopierAppBot.
  4. Select the bot and click Add.
  5. In the group, type: /chatid or /chatid@SignalCopierAppBot

The bot will return a Group ID similar to: -1002947777888. Copy this value for use during receiver setup.


Get the username of a Telegram channel

  1. Open your Telegram channel.
  2. Click the channel name.
  3. Right-click the channel link.
  4. Select Copy Username.

You will get a channel username similar to: @my_trading_channel. Keep this value for use during receiver setup.


If your channel is private and having no channel username:

  1. Right click on any message in channel
  2. Select Copy Message Link
  3. Paste the link copied somewhere and you see a link like this https://t.me/c/1234567890/123
  4. The number right after /c/ is related to the channel's internal ID. The full chat ID is: -1001234567890 (with -100 at beginning)

Keep -1001234567890 value for use during receiver setup.


How to grant bot permissions

Grant bot permissions in a private chat

No additional permissions are required. Simply start a chat with the bot and you are ready to receive trading signals in your Telegram chat.


Grant bot permissions in a group

If members cannot send messages in your group, you must grant the bot permission to post messages by promoting it to an administrator.

  1. Open the group member list.
  2. Right-click the bot.
  3. Select Promote to Admin.
  4. (Optional) Disable all permissions on the next screen if they are not required.

You must grant the bot permission to post messages by making it as an administrator.

  1. Open your Telegram channel.
  2. Click Add Members.
  3. Search for @SignalCopierAppBot.
  4. Select the bot and click Add.
  5. Click Make Admin.
  6. (Optional) Disable all permissions except Post Messages.
